Guru Nanak International Educational Trust has been established for celebrating the 5th centennial birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji, Who had emphasized the importance of education. The Council is focused on the upliftment of weaker sections of the society, irrespective of caste & religion. For this purpose, the initial focus is on the need to uplift the weaker sections of the society so that with good education and skill development they are able to be self employed. With the grace of God and complete support given by donors Bhai Baaz Singh Public School having a beautiful building has come into existence. In the school complex not only education up to 10th standard is provided to the children but girls belonging to poor families learn sewing & stitching so that they become self reliant. Considering the fact that the school is focused on people below poverty line and the parents can’t afford even nominal fee, the school is providing free education, free uniform, free books & stationary and free lunch to all students. To ensure that parents do send their children to the school and not force them into child labour, the mothers of some of the children are also taught sewing & stitching so that they can generate some income for meeting the daily needs of the family.
